Most metal festivals promise blistering heat. Few can offer black sand beaches, palm trees, ocean views, and a pit just steps from the Pacific.
BIG ISLAND METAL BASH will return to Hilo, Hawaii for its third annual edition on October 9–10, 2026, bringing two days of extreme metal to one of the most unlikely festival destinations in North America.
This year’s event will take place at The Crown inside the Hilton Naniloa Hotel, giving attendees the rare opportunity to stay directly at the festival site — on the beach.
Leading the lineup are death metal assault NARCOTIC WASTELAND, alongside groove metal veterans SKINLAB, reunited Texas heavyweights PISSING RAZORS, death metal crushers EMBRYONIC AUTOPSY, DESPISE THE SUN, THE CONVALESCENCE, and more.
While destination festivals have become increasingly common, there are still very few chances to combine a tropical Hawaiian getaway with a weekend of blast beats, death metal, and breakdowns.
Tickets are available now, with organizers promising two nights of heavy music in one of the most unique settings imaginable.
