MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, TOOL, LIMP BIZKIT And PIERCE THE VEIL To Headline AFTERSHOCK 2026

Sacramento, prepare yourself. The West Coast’s largest rock, punk, and metal gathering just leveled up.

Producer DANNY WIMMER PRESENTS has unveiled the full lineup for the 14th annual AFTERSHOCK FESTIVAL, returning October 1–4 to Discovery Park in Sacramento, California. Headlining the four-day blowout are MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, TOOL, LIMP BIZKIT, and PIERCE THE VEIL, leading a massive bill of more than 140 artists — the biggest roster in the festival’s history — plus the addition of a fifth stage.

From emo revivalists to prog-metal mystics, nü-metal chaos merchants to hip-hop royalty, AFTERSHOCK 2026 is casting an aggressively wide net — and daring you not to find something that hits.

The undercard is equally stacked, featuring heavyweights and cult favorites including PUBLIC ENEMY, AFI, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, CYPRESS HILL, SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, CRADLE OF FILTH, MUNICIPAL WASTE, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, RIVERS OF NIHIL, BRUJERIA, PENTAGRAM, CRO-MAGS, and dozens more — plus a mystery guest still to be revealed.

Danny Wimmer calls this year “a bold new chapter,” highlighting the genre-blurring lineup and noting that TOOL anchoring the weekend and PIERCE THE VEIL stepping into a headlining slot signals a generational shift. And after years of requests, the festival is finally introducing on-site camping — meaning fans can now fully commit to four straight days of volume, dust, and very questionable sleep schedules.

Beyond The Bands

AFTERSHOCK isn’t just about stage dives and circle pits. Fan-favorite experiences are returning and expanding:

  • Tremors Dive Bar — cold, dark, loud, and air-conditioned.

  • Cantina del Diablo (new for 2026) — tequila, mezcal, street fare, and chaos under the trees.

  • Aftershock x Jungle Bird Tiki Bar — tropical cocktails in an air-conditioned oasis.

  • Overtime Sports Bar (new) — shaded viewing for weekend games, because apparently you can mosh and check scores.

For the first time ever, official RV and Car + Tent camping will be available at nearby Cal Expo, including festival re-entry and a Wednesday night pre-party featuring complimentary drinks and activities.

The Impact

Visit Sacramento reports the festival generates more than $39 million in economic impact annually, bringing thousands of fans to the city for four days that are equal parts catharsis and controlled mayhem.

Four-day and single-day passes — including GA, VIP, and the ultra-premium Capital Club (with elevated viewing, all-inclusive drinks, air-conditioned lounge access, and more) — are on sale now, with layaway options starting at $1 down.

AFTERSHOCK 2026 runs October 1–4 at Discovery Park in Sacramento.

Five stages. Four days. 140+ bands. One mystery guest.

Sacramento is about to get very loud.
