PROTOMARTYR are not exactly metal, no, but they are absolutely one of those interesting catches that makes sense around here: bleak post-punk, nervous energy, sharp edges, and the general feeling that the room lights are flickering for emotional reasons.
The Detroit quartet will head across North America this fall, starting October 19 in Phoenix, AZ, and wrapping December 4 in Detroit, MI. The run includes U.S. and Canadian dates, with ACCESSORY and J.R.C.G appearing on different legs.
There is also a one-off Austin date where PROTOMARTYR will support THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN, because sometimes the tour calendar decides to be stylish.
Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, July 10 at 10:00 a.m. local time, with select presales beginning Thursday, July 9. PROTOMARTYR’s most recent album remains 2023’s Formal Growth in the Desert.
