Veteran British heavy metal force SATAN have been forced to hit pause on their 2026 plans, as frontman Brian Ross prepares to undergo what the band describes as a “major, life-saving preventative surgery” this spring.
In a heartfelt message shared via social media, the band revealed that Ross is scheduled for surgery in April/May 2026, with a recovery period expected to last several months. As a result, SATAN will postpone all previously announced performances for the remainder of 2026.
“Fans and friends, with a heavy heart, we must announce a break from scheduled performances,” the statement reads. “Our singer, the inimitable Brian Ross, has just learned that he must have a major, life-saving preventative surgery. His recovery will take several months.”
The only exceptions are this week’s concerts in Spain, which will proceed as planned. After those dates, SATAN will step away from the live arena to allow Ross the time and space needed to focus fully on his health.
While the postponement is undoubtedly disappointing for fans, the band made it clear that Ross’s well-being comes first. The message closes on a hopeful note, with SATAN aiming to return in 2027 “stronger and more powerful than ever,” and thanking supporters for their continued love and understanding during this challenging time.
