Social Distortion reschedule North American tour after Mike Ness’ cancer battle

Social Distortion has announced the rescheduled dates for their North American tour with The Bellrays.

The tour, initially postponed due to frontman Mike Nessbattle with tonsil cancer, will now kick off on September 13th in Seattle and run through October 22nd in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The band’s upcoming fall outing follows their co-headlining run with Bad Religion in the spring.

Ness has noted his improved health in a post:

Words can’t describe how happy I am to be back onstage doing what I love.

Commenting on his health status previously, he reported:

I finished 6 weeks of chemo and radiation last week and now can solely focus on rehabilitation to get strength back in my voice and all the muscles in throat and neck that have been disrupted from surgery etc. I am keeping my eyes on the prize to be back in studio to finish album and back onstage sooner than later.
