Plot twist no one had on their 2026 bingo card: members of TWISTED SISTER are moving forward — with SEBASTIAN BACH on vocals.
Guitarists Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda have announced that the former SKID ROW frontman will handle lead vocals for a handful of select dates this fall. No dates have been revealed yet, but the message is clear: TWISTED SISTER in 2026 is happening. Just… with a slightly different scream.
In a statement, the band said French and Ojeda are “thrilled” to welcome Bach for the appearances, emphasizing that the shows will not interfere with his solo schedule — which remains fully intact. In other words, this is a special occasion, not a permanent custody arrangement.
What Happened?
Earlier this year, the planned 2026 reunion featuring Dee Snider was abruptly scrapped after Snider resigned due to health concerns. The band cited his “sudden and unexpected resignation,” canceling all shows scheduled from April through early summer.
Snider later explained that he has been battling degenerative arthritis and has undergone multiple surgeries in recent years. He also revealed that decades of high-intensity, veins-popping performances have taken a toll on his heart.
“The idea of slowing down is unacceptable to me. I’d rather walk away than be a shadow of my former self,” Snider said, invoking the immortal wisdom of Dirty Harry: “A man’s got to know his limitations.”
Translation: if he can’t do it at 110%, he’s not doing it at all.
Enter: BACH
So now, stepping into one of hard rock’s most recognizable roles, is SEBASTIAN BACH — a vocalist not exactly known for dialing things down either.
The irony? A band famous for shouting “We’re Not Gonna Take It” is, in fact, taking it — just with a different singer holding the mic.
The now-canceled reunion lineup was set to feature Snider alongside French and Ojeda, with Russell Pzütto on bass in place of Mark Mendoza, and Joe Franco behind the kit honoring the late A.J. Pero, who passed away in 2015.
With Snider out, French and Ojeda appear determined not to let the legacy gather dust. Whether this is a temporary celebration, a test run, or the start of something more permanent remains to be seen.
For now, fans can expect a curious but undeniably intriguing scenario this fall: SEBASTIAN BACH fronting TWISTED SISTER — a collision of two towering ’80s hard rock personalities that will either be gloriously over-the-top… or gloriously, spectacularly over-the-top.
Either way, subtlety will not be involved.
