SLAYER announce California and Minnesota headlining shows celebrating 40th anniversary of ‘Reign In Blood’

Apparently retirement remains one of the most flexible concepts in heavy metal, as SLAYER have announced two special U.S. headlining shows for 2026 celebrating the 40th anniversary of their landmark album Reign In Blood.

The thrash legends will perform the classic record in full at two exclusive headline dates, marking the only U.S. opportunities for fans to witness the complete anniversary set. Festival appearances throughout the year will feature different setlists.

The run also includes SLAYER’s first Los Angeles concert in seven years, proving once again that farewell tours often just mean “see you later.”

DATES:

09/04 – Shakopee, MN @ Mystic Lake Amphitheater
w/ DOWN, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, HATEBREED

11/13 – Inglewood, CA @ Kia Forum
w/ CANNIBAL CORPSE, CAVALERA, CROWBAR

Originally released in 1986, Reign In Blood remains one of the most influential thrash metal albums ever made, helping cement SLAYER as one of the genre’s all-time greats. Four decades later, the band are once again bringing its intensity back to the stage — retirement status pending further notice.
